Overseeing the quality assurance of manufacture processes while ensuring tea products meet high standards of quality, safety, and consistency. This position will also be required to lead a team to monitor each phase of tea production, develop quality control strategies, implement industry-standard practices, and work closely with other departments to ensure product excellence as well as managing quality policies, conducting audits, and fostering continuous improvement to meet regulatory and customer expectations.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control strategy for tea production, aligning with industry standards and company goals
  •  Coordinate quality control processes across departments to create a unified approach to quality assurance.
  •  Oversee quality control checks and sampling throughout the tea production process, including green leaf inspection, withering, rolling, oxidation, drying, and packaging.
  •  Ensure accurate, timely tasting of tea attributes to maintain quality benchmarks.
  •  Manage calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment and tools.
  •  Identify and analyze quality trends and root causes of deviations in the production process.
  •  Organize training programs for staff on quality control protocols, food safety, and continuous improvement practices.
  •  Maintain comprehensive records of quality control processes, audits, and testing results.
  •  Evaluate and monitor supplier quality to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality green leaf.

Qualifications and Competencies

  •  Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Agriculture, or a related field
  •  At least 5 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or production management in the tea industry or another beverage or food-related industry.
  •  Leadership skills
  •  Strong understanding of tea manufacture and processing
  •  Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for tea and food safety
  • Good communication and analytical skills
