To ensure that all the flowers that leave the Packhouse meet all the quality parameters, /Customer specifications and are free from Pests and diseases. To monitor the hygiene in the Packhouse hall

Reception QC
- Receive the flowers from the field in the receiving cold room.
- Record transport time from field to grading hall.
- Check if flowers are in the water.
- Check the quality of flowers on diseases, damages, cut stage and cut point.
- Do a reject analysis
- Ensure first in first out for processing
Grading Tables QC
- Control the flow of flowers from reception to tables
- Coordinate with final QC the changes on grading according to variety and size
- Train new graders.
- Check the quality of outgoing flowers on stem sizing, number in a bunch, rubber band levels, head levels, uniform cut stage.
- Give feed back to the grader on performance.
Final QC
- Random check (25%) of the graded flowers before storage in the Export cold store.
- Return bunches not meeting the quality aspects for reprocessing.
- Discuss with the Supervisors/Pack house Managers in case there is a deviation of more than 25% of the quality/customer specifications
- Ensure proper arrangement in the final cold store ready for packing.
Hygiene and Health and Safety
- Monitor that all tables are washed with disinfectants as per schedule
- Monitor that all guillotines are cleaned with brush and disinfectants as per schedule.
- Monitor that flower floor is kept clean regularly
- Monitor that all materials are tidied up after finishing the work
- Monitor that all empty buckets are returned to the washing area
- Organize cleaning of the floor as per schedule
- Always wear your PPE provided and monitor the use of PPE in the grading hall.
- Report any hazards to the manager.
- Take part in all Health and Safety activities when required.
General
- All other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
