Our client a Manufacturer in Mombasa is looking to fill the role of a Store Manager who will be responsible for managing the store inventory, including receiving, storing, organizing, and tracking products or materials.

Type of Employment: 2 years contract renewable
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Managing the store's inventory, including receiving, storing, organizing, and tracking products or materials
- Stock Control: Implementing inventory control measures to optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and prevent stockouts .
- Ordering and Replenishment: Placing orders for new inventory and ensuring timely replenishment of stock to meet demand.
- Supervision: Overseeing the work of store staff, including clerks, assistants, and drivers, and ensuring that they perform their duties effectively.
- Quality Control: Monitoring the quality and condition of products or materials and conducting quality checks as needed.
- Security: Implementing security measures to prevent theft or damage to inventory and maintaining a safe and secure work environment .
- Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of inventory, transactions, and any relevant data, often using inventory management software Identify non-value added activities & implementing potential cost savings/control ideas.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree Requisite Experience Essential
- Min 8 yrs in Stores Function Preferred , 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG. Min 3 years in a Managerial position.
Special Skills Required
- Strong understanding of manpower management principles and ability to lead a team effectively.
- Proficiency in inbound logistics, outbound logistics, store keeping, store supervision, warehouse management systems (WMS), and warehouse operations software applications.
- Good Working Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint
