Daraja Kenya Initiative has created a boys empowerment program ( The Man I Am ) which has been adopted from WISH. This program is taught in the mixed schools where the WISH is , to create a similar impact to boys too. We are hiring a trainer for The man I am.
- Minimum Qualification :Bachelors
- Experience Level :Entry level
- Experience Length :1 year
THE MAN I AM TRAINERS ROLES:
● Will be in consultation and will report directly to the Director of Impact programs
● This a contract of 5 years ( 2025 to 2029)
● Prepare and train lessons in the given partner school.
● Collaborate closely with the partner The Man I Am facilitator ( teacher of The man I Am in that school) for every New Year as well as support for the previous year.
● Be part of the culture of that partner school.
● Be present in all the moments that are in your attention, provide answers and reports to the Directof the Impact programs or the partner school leadership if called upon to.
● In liaison with the data officer, collect all the required data for monitoring and evaluation by filling in the daily The Man I Am records of work, update The Man I Am report cards, follow the attendance register for each participant, check The Man I Am questions box and attend to the concerns in it accordingly. Keep proper records in hard copy and feed in the soft copy and keep updating the database.
● Work closely with The man I Am coordinator for closer guidance on the process of delivering the program.
● All the records must be shared with the Director of Impact Programs for check inns, support and custody
● In liaison with the Director of Impact program organize for referrals for counselling support, guest speakers as need arise
● Actively participate in the yearly trainings for The Man I Am facilitators ( The Man I Am teachers in the partner schools) and termly evaluations
● Once a week attend a common roundtable for continuous professional development when called to by the Director of Impact Programs.
● If any arrangement by the partner school or Daraja Academy requires your service on a weekend, step up for it.
● Uphold Daraja values, your personal values and professionalism

Requirements:
● Must be a trained male teacher and TSC registered.
● Should be competent in Microsoft Office and Google suite documents.
● Integrity: Know when confidentiality is important and when to share out with appropriate staff.
●Maintain flexibility in all work duties.
● A genuine listener, positivity and a learner in the school of life.
● A self-driven applicant and has intrinsic motivation.
● A good communicator both oral and written.
● Demonstrated passion for boys and girls empowerment
