UNICEF is currently inviting applications for two Social Policy Associate positions in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, under its National UN Youth Volunteer category. ResponsibilitiesThe Social Policy Associate positions are part of the Youth on the Move UNV program, a UNICEF initiative aimed at providing meaningful career opportunities to young refugees, internally displaced individuals, and migrant youth facing significant career barriers. These volunteers will be involved in a range of responsibilities, including:
- Data Analysis and Research: Analyzing data related to social policy issues such as child poverty and education, and conducting literature reviews to inform ongoing projects.
- Policy Development: Assisting in drafting concept notes and identifying areas for policy improvement, especially for child-focused services.
- Event Coordination: Supporting policy advocacy events and stakeholder meetings, which may include managing logistics, preparing briefing materials, and drafting agendas.

Eligibility and RequirementsApplicants must be Tanzanian nationals or legal residents and between the ages of 20-32. Ideal candidates should have at least one year of experience in community engagement, a background in community development (Bachelor’s degree preferred), and fluency in English. Proficiency in Kiswahili is desirable.
