To support this goal, we seek a Work Force Development Associate. Your mission is to ensure you identify, develop, and administer strategic partnerships with other organizations to realize key objectives, gain operational efficiencies, address unmet market needs, to achieve placement numbers and identify new business opportunities. 

Reporting into Head of Partnerships

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

● Perform marketing research to identify new businesses and partnership opportunities to support  placements 

● Engage with executives to establish strategies, proactively seek and grow partnerships opportunities in focus districts

● Create and improve proposals for both new and existing partners.

● Oversee the activities of call center agents and placement tracking

● Identify and secure technical, training and placement partners for the project

● Build strong relationships with partners

● Source Partners for the Mastercard Foundation project, following up on partnership requests and updating the team as required.

● Working closely with other teams such as YE for partnership alignment.

● Develop other necessary documents such as Partnership tracker, Partnership strategy, stakeholder mapping, etc.

● Prepare and maintain reports related to partnerships, placement and administration of Call center and Job centers.

Functional

● Identify, build and manage collaborative partnerships with governments and other stakeholders to push Brightermonday Strategy. 

● Stakeholders Management 

● Lead establishment of Job centers across key regions and oversee the activities of each center.

● Support the recruitment of Call Center Agents

● Develop a learning plan to equip Call Center Agents

● Support the recruitment of Job Center volunteers 

● Support volunteers to source and attract local employers and job seekers within their communities

● Develop a learning plan to equip Job Center volunteers

● Coordinate all focus districts activities as relate to partnerships and placement of young people 

● Identify and propose opportunities for how to build and expand our Youth Engagement initiatives in the focus districts to drive more meaningful stakeholders experiences and business results.

Key Skills & Competencies

Qualifications: 

● Bachelor’s in social sciences or its related field from a recognized institution.

Experience:

● 5 years of experience in partnership, strategy, business development, sales or similar roles..

● Experience in similar projects is an added advantage

Skills required to perform the Job: 

● The flexibility to multitask and handle multiple requests with varying degrees of priority simultaneously.

● Ability to work/communicate with all levels of staff and be able to draw the relevant insights from analyses done or meetings attended in a way that informs decision making and provides a coherent summary for relevant stakeholders.

● Proficient in Google Slides, Sheets, MS Office Suite with PowerPoint skills

● Strong project coordination skills 

● Relationship in the Recruitment Outsourcing sector

● Current/previous Work experience in Recruitment

● Cross cultural awareness and ability to work amongst a diverse group of volunteers and partners. 

● Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative on projects. 

● Ability to tap into your personal base and network, as well as develop new ones for the project 

● Strong presentation and facilitation skills. 

● Experience in community and coalition building 

● Understanding of gender inclusion in community outreach.

● Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working partnership with partners. 

● Strong project coordination skills 

● Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude 

● Must also be able to create a supportive working relationship among all project teams.
