The Guardian Ltd, a leading newspaper company in Tanzania, is looking for Assistant Sales Representatives from Mbeya, Iringa, Morogoro, Tanga, and Mwanza. This role focuses on increasing circulation sales, advertisement sales, and e-paper subscriptions, contributing to business growth in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:Drive newspaper sales, subscriptions, and e-paper growth in the assigned region.
Identify and acquire new advertising clients for print and digital platforms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, agents, and corporate clients.
Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and industry trends.
Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain accurate sales records.
Work closely with internal teams to implement sales and promotional strategies.
Provide regular sales reports, performance updates, and recommendations.
Must be a resident of Mbeya, Iringa, Morogoro, Tanga, or Mwanza.
Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related field.
Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the newspaper or media industry will be an added advantage.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Basic proficiency in MS Office and digital sales tools.
Familiarity with the local market in the assigned region is an added advantage.
