Dialysis Repair Technician at Africa Healthcare Network Tanzania (AHN)
POSITION: DIALYSIS REPAIR TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER
LOCATION: TANZANIA
Job Summary:
Africa Healthcare Network Tanzania (AHN) is seeking a flexible, passionate, and highly-motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment to join our Dialysis Centre. AHN aims to provide high-quality dialysis treatment in regions with limited access. In East Africa, less than 5% of individuals in need of dialysis receive care, compared to over 97% in North America. Our goal is to increase access to affordable, quality care using a sustainable business model.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance and Service of Equipment: Maintain and repair electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and other essential machinery.
- Electrical Systems Maintenance: Perform maintenance tasks on electrical systems in the dialysis centers.
- Routine Surveys: Conduct regular surveys of all centers to identify any necessary repairs or improvements.
- Premises Upkeep: Ensure that the dialysis center and related premises are in excellent working condition.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Schedule and manage regular car service appointments and report any issues related to the vehicles.
- Manual Repairs: Perform hands-on repairs, such as fixing locks, replacing windows, and addressing other minor repairs.
- General Upkeep: Conduct maintenance of air conditioning systems and other relevant upkeep procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members in a cooperative and friendly manner.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional, responsible, and approachable demeanor.
- Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of spares and consumable items, ensuring proper inventory levels.

Desired Competencies:
- Education: Diploma in electronics installation and maintenance from a recognized institution.
- Technical Proficiency: High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Health & Safety Standards: Familiarity with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
