We are seeking a student-centered, dynamic, and versatile French Teacher to join our team. In addition to teaching French across kindergarten and primary levels, the ideal candidate will be able to support other subject areas such music, physical education, and/or dance, contributing to a full-day teaching schedule.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in developing our French curriculum, advising on and maintaining our French language library, and coordinating cultural exchange and enrichment activities with other French-focused schools and organizations.
You will foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment, guide students' holistic development, and collaborate closely with colleagues and parents. We are looking for a passionate educator who embraces creativity, independence, and innovation.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the School Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
• Delivering engaging French language instruction tailored to early childhood and lower primary learners.
• Developing and maintaining the school’s French language curriculum and ensuring alignment with student needs and international standards.
• Supporting learning in additional subjects such as music, dance, or physical education, based on experience.
• Curating and overseeing the French library collection in collaboration with school leadership.
• Organizing and coordinating French-themed enrichment activities, cultural days, and collaborative events with other schools.
• Observing, assessing, and documenting student progress in French and other assigned areas.
• Creating lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to diverse learning needs.
• Building strong, trust-based relationships with students and fostering a positive classroom culture.
• Collaborating in staff meetings, training workshops, parent meetings, and school activities, including local field trips and school events.
• Maintaining accurate student records and managing classroom resources effectively.
• Setting a personal example of lifelong learning, integrity, and kindness.
About You
We’re looking for a teacher who thrives in a collaborative and child-centered environment and brings the following qualifications and attributes:
• An A1 or A2 French certificate from Alliance Française or Equivalent
• Degree in Education with specialization or certification in French.
• Experience in teaching French to children aged 3–12; additional experience in music, PE, or dance is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• A creative, compassionate, and adaptable teaching style.
• Passion for languages, cultural education, and experiential learning.
• Comfort with technology and online learning platforms.
• Commitment to holistic, values-based education and continuous professional growth.
