Job DescriptionJob title: Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Volunteer – (MEL) Volunteer
Location: Manyara
Reporting to: Regional Senior Strategic Results Manager
Roles Summary
The MEL Volunteer will provide essential support to the Manyara regional MEL team in monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities. The volunteer will assist in ensuring accurate data collection, timely reporting, and support quality assurance processes across program sites. This role is critical to maintaining data integrity and facilitating evidence-based decision-making during this transitional period
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the collection, verification, and analysis of programmatic data from supported sites
- Assist in preparing and submitting reports for key indicators across various reporting platforms (e.g., DHIS2, Macro 3, Power BI, and SharePoint)
- Help in tracking performance indicators and updating regional monitoring tools
- Participate in routine data quality assessments and site support activities
- Collaborate with program and M&E staff to follow up on missing or inconsistent data
- Maintain organized records of submitted reports and key performance metrics
- Support in preparing visualizations and presentations for internal meetings and donor reporting
- Act as a link between site-level data clerks and the central MEL team to streamline reporting and data quality improvement efforts
- Assist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting across platforms such as CQI, Macro 3, DHIS2, Power BI etc.
- Provide administrative support during data review meetings and learning sessions
Qualifications
To be successful, you will have:
- A degree or diploma in Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Previous experience (internship or volunteer) in MEL or data management is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of health data systems (e.g. DHIS2, Excel, Power BI) is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision and meet reporting deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Bonus points if you have
- Excellent command of English and Swahili languages in written and oral communication.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Masters in M&E.

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) began supporting HIV and AIDS programming in Tanzania in 2003 and established a country office in 2004. Since then, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other key partners, EGPAF has expanded its scope to include integrated HIV, GBV, TB, and Family Planning services.
