Location: Arusha, Tanzania

We are a private clinic in Arusha, Tanzania, seeking to recruit capable, motivated and professional physiotherapists to provide effective and efficient physiotherapy treatment to meet the needs of patients in line with best practice standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Asses, develop and review treatment programs, along with patients themselves, by use of a range of techniques.
  • Rehabilitate patients following accidents, injuries and illnesses.
  • Recording patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care if needed.
  • Educate patients/caregivers about how to prevent further injury and/or improve conditions.
  • Providing statistical information by preparing weekly and monthly summaries on patients treated and their conditions and progress.
  • Keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals such as doctors to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention.
  • Daily checks and maintenance of physiotherapy equipment.
  • Excellent Public Relations
  • Performs any other duties as deemed necessary by the company.
  • The Physiotherapist must comply with the Company’s policies and procedures and Code of Conduct at all times

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Sports physiotherapy/Orthopaedic Manual Therapy/ Pelvic Health/ Acupuncture/Lymphoedema experience will be an added advantage.
  • Good time management.
  • Basic imaging interpretation,
  • The ability to build a rapport with patients from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Must be tolerant and patient with good physical health and fitness.
  • Must be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English and Kiswahili languages
  • Be caring, compassionate and professional at all times
  • Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University or
  • Diploma in Physiotherapy from Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC)
  • Must be registered and licensed by the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya
  • Minimum three years working experience, preferably in a busy private clinic set-up with community visits as added advantage.
