Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities

Role Purpose: 

  • The PR & Communications Officer will be responsible for providing support in media relations and corporate content creation within the External Affairs function including the Vodacom Tanzania Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the preparation of audio-visual communication content to position Vodacom as a purpose-led organization. 
  • Support in media and public relations through preparation of communications collaterals and overseeing media engagements.
  • Support external communications efforts of the Vodacom Tanzania Foundation. 
  • Maintain corporate social media calendar for VTF and any other External Affairs related assets, including but not limited to: Vodacom Digital Accelerator and Future Ready Summit.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings for reporting of key projects and campaigns

     

Qualifications, Core competencies, Knowledge and Experience
  • Degree in at least one of the following: Mass Communication, Public Relations &Advertising
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Great Interpersonal Skills
  • Advanced planning and time management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Be role model for the organisation exemplifying the spirit behaviours.
  • A good command of the Kiswahili and English language
