We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with at least five years of experience to manage all aspects of contractual and financial sides of construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that building projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.

    • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.

    • Track changes to the design and/or construction work, adjusting budget projections accordingly.

    • Negotiate contracts and work schedules with contractors and suppliers.

    • Monitor project progress and prepare detailed financial reports for management.

    • Conduct site visits to assess project progress, costs, and quality of work.

    • Manage and control project expenditure according to budget allocations.

    • Ensure compliance with statutory building regulations and health and safety standards.

    • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams throughout the lifecycle of projects.

    • Advise on procurement strategy and manage tender processes.

Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction industry.

    • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

    • Proficient in project management and cost control systems.

    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

    • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

    • Proficient in MS Office and relevant Quantity Surveying software (e.g., CostX, WinQS).

    • Registration with a professional body (e.g., IQSK) is an added advantage.
