    Sales Manager

    • Represent Transsion in East Africa to explore and secure strategic partnerships with local telecom operators such as Safaricom, Airtel, MTN, and other key ecosystem players.
    • Drive commercial opportunities across advertising, pre-installation, app distribution, co-branded content, and data partnerships.
    • Establish and manage direct relationships with C-level executives within telcos to unlock long-term cooperation opportunities.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (product, operations, data, marketing) to support project execution and business performance.
    • Stay informed about the East African telco and digital ecosystem, and provide insights to guide local and regional strategies.
    • Report to leadship regularly and ensure clear, effective communication between local market and internal stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher
    • 3+ years of experience in strategic business development, partnerships, or account management roles.
    • Strong existing network within telco industry in Kenya or Tanzania — ability to connect with C-level/influential stakeholders.
    • Experience working with or for telcos in East Africa in content, billing, advertising, or platform cooperation.
    • High-level communication, negotiation, and cross-team coordination skills;Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
    • Fluent in English; Swahili is a plus.

    Preferred but not required

    • Experience with mobile ecosystem players (OEMs, app platforms, fintech, or VAS providers);
    • Knowledge of advertising/monetization models (e.g., pre-install deals, media placements).
    • Familiarity with digital trends and user behavior in East Africa.
