We are excited to launch a brand-new Ice Cream and Shakes Parlour in Jigjiga, Ethiopia, and we are looking for a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including specialty coffee, fresh juices, mojitos, milkshakes, smoothies, and soft ice cream.
● Operate and maintain equipment, including the coffee machine, soft ice cream machine, and crepe maker.
● Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all food preparation areas.
● Conduct minor maintenance and cleaning of coffee machines and other equipment.
● Assist in making waffles, crepes, and shakes with precision and creativity.
● Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
● Maintain stock levels and ensure all ingredients are fresh and available.
● Knowledge of pizza-making is an added advantage.
Requirements:
● Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role.
● Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, milk steaming, and latte art.
● Experience working with soft ice cream machines, shake blenders, and juicers.
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
● A passion for food and beverage innovation.
