We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and qualified Senior Associate for our Tanzanian office to be part of a team in our Tax department unit.
Vacancy Title: Senior Tax Associate
Job Summary:
The tax senior associate is responsible for ensuring the company adheres to all client tax regulatory requirements in Tanzania.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Execute assignments in accordance with the firm’s standards, procedures, and methodologies, ensuring
compliance with agreed timelines and budgets.
- Assist Managers, Directors, and Partners in delivering services to clients in diversified sectors.
- Develop and maintain good client and revenue authority relationships.
- Keep abreast with technical developments in the profession and the country, to anticipate client needs and to offer value-added and practical business solutions
- Stay informed about technical developments in the profession and local regulations to proactively address client needs with innovative and practical business solutions.
- Prepare and file tax returns on behalf of clients with precision and attention to detail.
- Review work prepared by associates, ensuring quality standards and providing mentorship to foster professional growth.
- Handle Tanzania Revenue Authority Audits and respond to enquiries from regulatory agencies with confidence and professionalism.
Education Requirements & Job Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or any other related field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of tax related experience
- Good understanding of Tanzanian Tax regulations and compliance
- CPA/ACCA certification is a added advantage
- Work experience with a professional consulting or audit firm will be an added advantage
- Registered Tax consultancy will be an added advantage
